What we collect
Website visitors. We collect basic analytics: pages viewed, referrer, approximate location at the city level, device type. Anonymous and aggregated.
Inquiries. When you apply, book office hours, subscribe to our newsletter, or request a resource, we collect your name, email, and the information you voluntarily provide.
Clients. During an engagement, we receive whatever business data is necessary to complete the scope — per a signed NDA or MSA.
How we use it
Inquiry data is used to respond to your inquiry, qualify the fit, and schedule a call. Newsletter data is used to send the newsletter you subscribed to. Client data is used to execute the engagement and is covered by confidentiality obligations.
We do not sell data. We do not monetize data. Ever.
Who we share with
We use third-party services to run the business: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database), Resend (transactional email), Cal.com (booking), PostHog (product analytics). Each has their own privacy practices, and we select partners with strong security postures.
We do not disclose your information to third parties for their marketing. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights of Michai, clients, or the public.
Your rights
You can request a copy of the information we have on you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email contact@michaimedia.com — we respond within 10 business days.
EU/UK residents have rights under GDPR, including right-to-delete and data portability. California residents have rights under CCPA, including right-to-know and opt-out.
How we protect data
Production infrastructure runs on vendor-grade platforms. Data in transit uses TLS 1.2+. Data at rest uses platform-standard encryption. Access to client systems is role-based and audit-logged. For enterprise engagements, we align to SOC2 controls and can operate inside a client-owned VPC on request.
Retention
Inquiry data: retained up to 24 months from last contact, then purged unless you've become a client. Newsletter data: retained until you unsubscribe. Client data: retained per the engagement SoW and applicable law.
Children
michaimedia.com is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
